So maybe you’ve never come to church before in your life. Maybe you’re thinking of coming back for the first time in years. It can definitely be uncomfortable, and maybe even a little disconcerting. That’s why this page is here. We at Suncrest are passionate about making sure that no matter where you’re at on the whole church or Jesus thing that you at least know what to expect when you come so that you can be comfortable and have a good time as we worship and learn about Jesus together.
So what can you expect? Here are a few things:
- You can expect something that’s culturally relevant. The Bible was written in the common language of the people at the time; If God came on this earth and communicated in a way that was relevant to everyone, then we want to do that as well through the music we play, to the topics we talk about, and even to the way we teach the way of Jesus.
- You can expect to be told about Jesus. We’re cool with you joining us no matter where you are on your faith journey, whether that means you’ve been a believer for years or you’re just checking things out. But regardless, we believe the most important thing we can do is share the message of Jesus, so please don’t be surprised or offended when we do so each Sunday morning.
- You can expect an awesome experience for your kids. Suncrest was built on children’s ministry, and we’re all about making sure that it is a place where your kids can learn about God in an environment that’s not only safe, but also entertaining.
- You can expect to have some fun. We believe that wherever Jesus is, there is a lot of life. At Suncrest Highland, we want to create a culture where we laugh and just have a great time doing life together as we learn about Jesus.
We’re biased, but we think that Suncrest is an awesome place and that you’ll really love being a part of this church.
