Have you ever had the experience of listening to a great message on Sunday, only to forget it come Monday? Each week we post a reflection, from various people, on the past Sunday’s message. We extend our prayers and sympathy to Mike and Laura Moseng on the passing of Mike’s mother, Delores King, on November 12th, and to Jerry and Trish Allee on the passing of Jerry’s father, Ronald G. Allee, on November 15th.
Sunday, November 22nd, a Tri-Town Community Thanksgiving service will be held at Crossroads Church, located at 1538 Janice Drive in Schererville, starting at 6 PM. After the service, there will be a time of food and fellowship. An offering will be taken for area Poor Relief.
YOU can be an angel to a child in need this Christmas! Pick up an angel gift card from the tree in the foyer after service November 22nd or November 29th and give the gift of Christmas to the less fortunate in the area. Gifts should cost no more than $25 and are due back at the church by December 6th. Please wrap the gift and attach the angel card to it.
All grade 1-4 students and parents...Friday, December 4th, from 7:01-9:01 PM, at the West Campus, we’ll have a high energy night of worship plus a fun time of decorating Holiday Cookie Houses. Donations of hard candy, pretzels, and marshmallows are needed. Please bring them to room 103-104 at the West Campus and at the Children’s Welcome Center Bin at the East Campus.
New Year’s Eve Lock-in for high school students! Bring in the new year at the West Campus with inflatables, friends, food, Texas Hold ‘Em tournament, Call of Duty tournament, karaoke and more. Register early for $5 each, cost will be $10 at the door. Information and sign-ups can be done through Jared Mehrle at the West Campus and Chris Hall at the East Campus.
Our Christmas Eve services will be held on December 23rd at 7:00 PM and December 24th at 3:00 PM, 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM at the West Campus facility. Childcare will be available for infants –age 4.
With flu season here, we are offering individually packaged communion juice and wafer. If you would like to use these, they are available on the back table of the Worship area.
The Parent/Baby Dedication meeting is Sunday, November 22nd, at 1 PM in room 119 for all those planning to dedicate their children on December 6th. Childcare will be in room 123-124. Inquire at the Children’s Welcome Center for further information.
Baptism reminds us of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and is a public expression of faith in Christ. If you have witnessed baptisms before, you know how exciting it can be to see someone take this step.
